A warm welcome to our first newsletter! After six months, it is time to take stock of what we have done so far and what we need to achieve in the coming years.
LAURELIN is an ambitious project, which seeks to optimise selectivity, yield and energy requirements in methanol production from CO2 conversion. The ambitious objectives set by the European Commission – and more recently by the COP26 – show that action is needed at all levels.
Renewable methanol can reduce carbon emissions by up to 95% depending on the feedstock and conversion process, compared to conventional fuels. That is why we are trying to find the greener way and swiftest way to get this done.
I am looking forward to telling you more in the coming months. Keep an eye out in the meantime on Twitter and LinkedIn!
Luis Iranzo Martínez, Project Coordinator, AIMPLAS
