LAURELIN project partners participate at ACE Japon event “Dialogues for a Sustainable Future”
On November 17th, 2023, Dr. Raquel Simancas, Prof. Teruoki Tago & Prof. Fernando Rey, all LAURELIN project partners of respectively University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology & Instituto de Tecnología Química (UPV-CSIC) participated at the ACE JAPON event entitled: “Dialogues for a Sustainable future – Heterogeneous Catalysis: working towards Carbon Neutrality”. This event was hosted by ACE JAPON together with the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo.
In this seminar, Prof. Tago & Prof. Rey exchanged views & opinions on the many challenges and opportunities for achieving carbon neutrality, focusing on applying heterogeneous catalysts. They also shared their research in the field of catalysts, with a special focus on zeolites, for environmental applications aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. These zeolites, with their unique porous structure, demonstrate significant potential for catalyzing reactions that can reduce carbon emissions and promote cleaner and more sustainable processes in industry.
Additionally, as both professors are working together in the LAURELIN project, the importance of international collaboration for achieving a sustainable future was emphasized during the Q&A time.
