On 7 September 2021, EURAXESS Japan organised a joint Japan-EU webinar to showcase the three winning projects that have secured support from both the Horizon 2020 Framework Program and JST: LAURELIN, ORACLE and 4AirCRAFT.
LAURELIN was presented by Teruoki Tago, Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Toshiyuki Yokoi, Associate Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and Rey García Fernando, Professor at the Instituto de Tecnología Química.
The three winning projects presented contribute to the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge “Secure, clean and efficient energy” and the focus area “Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future.”
Achieving climate neutrality in the energy sector – while ensuring at the same time a more efficient energy use, a secure supply of energy, affordable prices and low environmental impact – is a complex endeavour which requires R&I activities on multiple fronts. That is why LAURELIN aims at accelerating the production of green methanol for transport.
