LAURELIN partners meet in Oxford (UK) to exchange on the project results at 36MM Consortium meeting
From 07 until 08 May 2024, Horizon 2020 LAURELIN Consortium partners met in Oxford (United Kingdom) for their 36th month project meeting – hosted by our project partner University College London (UCL).
This meeting served as the ideal occasion for each project partner to showcase its achieved results in the past 6 months, while the team also reflected on the project’s progress as – with less than 1 year to go – the project is gearing towards its final phase.
The project has advanced in the development and testing of new catalysts developed during the term. Regarding reactors tasks, the Microwave Heating Reactor has been updated and it is fully operational to start testing new catalysts and optimize its performance in the next 6 months term. Concerning the Plasma Induction Reactor and the Magnetic Induction Reactor both of them have carried on with the work of testing and optimization. Finally, advanced characterization have been developed with successful reactions and the benchmarking analysis have carried on as planed. Dissemination and communication activities have been implemented with relevant results.
During the past six months, project representatives also presented the LAURELIN project on several occasions to a wider audience within the field of chemistry, sustainable transport and LCA to CCUS. These events enhanced the overall outreach of the project by promoting our research and its main advantages.
We thank our English partners of the University College London (UCL) for hosting this great project meeting and we are looking forward to further project developments.
The next consortium meeting will be taking place in November 2024 in Brussels (Belgium), being coincident with a second cluster activity organized by LAURELIN’s sister research project 4AirCraft. This together in presence of representatives of the ORACLE project, another EU-Japan funded research project working on alternative renewable fuels.
