2nd EU-Japan research Cluster Workshop: New production methods of synthetic fuels for a de-carbonised economy

On Friday 08 November 2024, the LAURELIN Consortium is joining the 2nd EU-Japan research Cluster event on “New production methods of synthetic fuels for a de-carbonised economy” organised by sister project 4AirCRAFT.
This event is the ideal opportunity to meet and exchange with project members and discuss about new production methods of synthetic fuels for a de-carbonised economy. Project highlights will be given by the project coordinators of the EU-Japan funded projects (see below) on their advancements since the last Cluster event (November 2023 – Tokyo, Japan). Experts will discuss more in-depth topics touching upon their research including:
- Sustainable sysnthesis of fuels: technologies, challenges & opportunities
- Catalyst design strategies to enable selective key reactions
- Prospective validation of novel technologies: from catalysts synthesis to reactor design
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and Japan’s Strategic International Collaborative Research Program (SICORP) under the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) have funded three joint research projects on advanced biofuels and alternative renewable fuels for transport: LAURELIN, 4AirCRAFT, and ORACLE.
