The University of Manchester, one of the partners of the LAURELIN Horizon 2020’s research project, participated to the 8th UK Catalysis Conference (2022 UKCC) on 5-7 January 2022 in Loughborough (UK). This was one of the UK’s most important events in the field of catalysis science and technology, jointly organised by the UK Catalysis Hub, the Royal Society of Chemistry’s special interest groups SURCAT and Applied Catalysis.
During the first day of the conference, Shanshan Xu (School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science, University of Manchester) presented her research on “Developing Silicalite-1 encapsulated Ni nanoparticles as anti-sintering/coking catalysts for CO2 reforming of methane” to a captive audience.
The work currently developed by the University of Manchester on this topic will feed into the LAURELIN project, including the study of non-thermal hydrogenation of CO2.
