LAURELIN’s research work presented at the 2023 Europacat Conference in Prague
On 27 August 2023, Dr. M. Potter from the Department of Chemistry of the University College London presented the LAURELIN project during the Europacat 2023 Conference. This biennial event, held in Prague (Czech Republic), is the leading European catalysis conference for scientists and researchers from EU academia and industry in the field of catalysis and related industrial areas.
This year, over 1,700 relevant stakeholders from diverse fields of catalysis – having academic as well as industrial background – came together to learn and discuss more on catalysis. Main topics of the discussion on the programme were:
- Catalysis to tackle industrial challenges
- Catalysis to improve the environment and quality of life
- Materials for heterogeneous, homogeneous, and biocatalysis
- Special sessions: catalysts and reactors under dynamic conditions for energy storage and conversion
During the event, our partner Dr. Potter had the opportunity to present his recent work on Pd/In203 catalysts for CO2 Hydrogenation to Methanol in the context of the LAURELIN project.
Dr. Potter’s presentation was very well received and several questions were asked throughout the conference. This attention shows that hydrogenation of CO2 to Methanol is a burning issue.
Overall, by presenting our project and his recent work at Europacat 2023, Dr. Potter was able to disseminate his main findings. This was also an opportunity to strenghten relations with other collaborators.
